Board-specific solving steps

   The pale-rose region has only R1C3. Place its cat and exclude columns 2 to 4 in row 2 because they touch it.

   Purple R3C2 and dark-rose R5C1 are also single-cell regions. They reserve columns 2 and 1, regardless of the X marks shown in the source.

3. 3. Logic

   Row 2 now has only column 5 left: column 1 is occupied and columns 2 to 4 are blocked by the upper cat. Put the brown cat at R2C5.

4. 4. Logic

   Only row 4 and column 4 remain. R4C4 lies in the bright-pink region and touches neither neighboring cat, completing all five colors.
